Nothing Left is a concept album that initially arose while exploring sounds and production techniques for the soundtrack of a now-defunct shoot-em-up computer game. While the game was in development, I tried to venture out of my comfort zone in order to produce something more atmospheric, expressive, and conceptual in nature. Moreover, I tried to capture the essence of a dark, brooding ship navigating the dangerous, uncharted depths of deep space. In this world, I picture a crew, exhausted and beset by uncertainty, but who have no other choice than to press onward in their journey.

Though development on the game that first gave birth to this project has gone dormant, the remaining sounds and visuals were eventually expanded upon, and then distilled into the present album, 'Nothing Left'. Additional inspiration for these tracks came from my move to Tokyo, Japan. The sights and sounds of certain neighborhoods left a mark on my aesthetic perspective, a fact which, I think, is expressed through the textures and progression of many tracks on this album.

This album was recorded in Vancouver, Canada, and Tokyo, Japan, between autumn of 2021 and summer of 2023. All tracks were produced and mixed by Paris Fleming.
